The rare rock texture on the Orbicule Koppie

Situated 22km north east of Springbok, it was originally a Rhenish mission station formed in 1852. From 1853 to 1933 copper was mined in the area.

During the Anglo-Boer War the Boers used Concordia as their headquarters while Okiep was under siege. Some old Cornish style houses still remain as well as the original granery, used as a hospital by the boer commandos.

Granite Ore Bins
At the old Tweefontein Mine are good examples of Cornish stone masonry. The New Prospect Mine is another granite ore bin/shute that is in excellent condition.
Graveyard
Graves of early Rhenish missionary pioneers and unmarked graves of fallen boers from the four week siege of Okiep in 1902.
 Orbicule Hill
This national monument lies west of Concordia. It exhibits the best example of orbicular diorite in the country. This rare rock texture is the result of granitoid magmas separating while in a fluid state which forms concentric internal banding.
Rhenish Mission Station
Established in 1852, the same year copper was discovered in the area.
 United Reformed Church
Stone church built in 1875 by Cornishmen with the original organ dating back to 1915.
